Jonas Bros Continue to Rule the Charts

The Jonas Brothers released their third group album on August 12, 2008, with featured songs such as Burnin’ Up, Pushin’ Me Away, and Tonight. Faithful fans not only helped each of these songs earn the number one spot on iTunes, but they also assisted in the record breaking number of downloads. Each song was downloaded at least 100,000 times, Burnin’ Up topping the record with over 183,000 sales the first week of being released. It is obvious that the Jonas Brothers are a big hit across the country, and it is being said that they will be starring in their own Disney Channel Original Series by summer 2009!

Hayden Panettiere’s Superhero Task: Releasing Her First Album

The Heroes star played her first single, “Wake Up Call,” on Ryan Seacrest’s KISS-FM radio show Tuesday , and discussed the very different songs on her album, calling them strange and eclectic. ”They’re a little bit eclectic,” Panettiere, said. The actress described the experience of hearing her music on the radio as “scary” and “terrifying,” but told the talk show host that she’s put a lot of effort into the songs on her debut disc. “They changed so much over the years,” she says, “just because my life experiences and who I am as a person is obviously reflected in the music.”

New Release: Guitar Hero Fans Line Up For Aerosmith

Guitar Hero’s hold on the teenage community was rivaled by none, until last fall when the arrival of Rock Band broke its hold on the youth of America. But as we have seen through the years, Guitar Hero cannot die, with its new release Guitar Hero: Aerosmith it seems that this household favorite is asserting its place as the main Guitar game. But fear not my fellow hero’s as Guitar hero is realeasing the Guitar Hero experience, with (yes you guessed it) drums and microphones (realese date to be announced). Step aside Rock Band and feel the wrath of the Hero’s!!

The Dark Knight is Here

Heath Ledger as the Joker in the Dark Knight

An all star cast featuring Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine as “Alfred”, Bruce Wayne’s trusty aid, and Morgan Freeman as “Lucius Fox”, Batman’s weapon specialist. Miley Cyrus New Angry “7 Things” Video Debuts

From People Magazine:

If Miley Cyrus sounds angry on her latest single and video, “7 Things,” that was her intention, says the teen sensation.

“The word ‘hate’ could describe how angry I am,” Cyrus told Ryan Seacrest Wednesday on his KIIS-FM radio show.

The song, in which Cyrus ticks off a list of things she hates in a boy she loves, was something that just poured out of the 15-year-old during a rare moment alone on her tour bus.

“[It goes] through all the different stages of what’s been going on the past couple years,” she said. “It was like a little therapy moment for me.”

Asked if worried about possibly offending a former boyfriend, Disney’s Hannah Montana star proved undaunted.

“I want them to be upset. That was my point,” she said. “I was a little worried, but I’m excited that I just did it.”

Cyrus skirted around the topic of alleged ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas and insists that the song’s not about a specific person – such as a backup dancer she denies she is dating.

“No way,” she said of the dancer. “We’re all best friends, just really close and goofing around.

This summer’s reality show, Disney’s “High School Musical: Get in the Picture”, will award one prize winner the chance of a lifetime — he or she will literally “get in the picture” when that person appears in a music video shown in the end credits of the feature film, Disney’s “High School Musical 3: Senior Year,” opening Hthis fall.

Hosted by Nick Lachey, the television series debuts on ABC on Sunday, July 20 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) and runs Sundays and Mondays (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) for three weeks, then continues Mondays at 8:00 p.m., ET through mid-September. During the series, finalists will ultimately participate in a summer music program to hone their skills, and one talented newcomer will become a part of “High School Musical” history.

Executive producers of “High School Musical: Get in the Picture” are Jay Blumenfeld and Tony Marsh (both of “Here Come the Newlyweds”). The production company is The Jay and Tony Show.

Disney’s “High School Musical” has been seen by over 250 million viewers and the sequel, “High School Musical 2,” has been seen by more than 195 million viewers in 24 languages globally. The movies spawned stage productions at schools and in professional theatres around the world, multi-platinum CDs, DVDs and books, a successful consumer products franchise at mass retailers, themed shows at Disney Parks in Anaheim, Orlando and Paris, a sold-out 42 date arena concert tour in North America and Latin America and a popular touring ice show around the world.

Miley Cyrus Big Winner Kids Choice Awards

From The Press Association:
It was the best of both worlds at the US Kids Choice Awards for Miley Cyrus, who took home trophies for favourite female singer and TV actress and rocked the show with a spirited performance of her hit song, GNO - Girls Night Out.
Other winners at the Los Angeles awards ceremony, attended by 10,000 screaming teens and preteens, included Eddie Murphy for favourite voice from an animated movie for Shrek the Third and American Idol for favourite reality show.
Cameron Diaz injected one serious moment into the 90 minute show when she accepted a silver blimp as this year’s Wannabe Award winner, for the person children most want to be like.
After a montage of clips from both her movies and her efforts on behalf of environmentalism was shown, she encouraged the crowd to do their part to protect the planet.
“You’re going to change the world. Every one of you kids is the future,” she told the audience. “Everybody go out and make the world a better place.”
The show concluded with host Jack Black and Orlando Bloom sitting in chairs high above the audience being drenched with what Black claimed was 27 million gallons of green slime.
